Registration Deadlines and Delegate Fees

General Conference Payment and Hotel Information

We will send out a form for registration, and once the form is filled out, we will send out an invoice for payment which can be completed either via Square for online payments or mailed checks. Once we have received the form and payment, we can send out the positions that we have allotted for your delegates, which they can decide for themselves which committee and delegation they would like to represent.

In terms of where to stay, we coordinate with the Ala Moana Hotel and are expecting to have a rate of around $204 for a single/double room plus taxes and fees. The Ala Moana Hotel, located at 410 Atkinson Dr, Honolulu, HI 96814, is the closest hotel to the site of the conference, 1801 Kalākaua Ave, Honolulu, HI 96815, and the rate that we have had in the past saves around $20-30 per hotel room. Booking information will be emailed and posted as soon as it is made available to us.

Financial Aid

With support from the Stevens World Peace Foundation, PacMUN XIII is able to provide financial aid to all delegates for whom delegate fees represent a significant financial burden. PacMUN will provide financial aid by waiving part or all of an individual delegate’s fees. To apply for financial aid, please send an email to Kari Rachlin at kari@laulimafamilies.com, briefly explaining your circumstances.

Note: If financial aid is granted, the delegate must attend all sessions of PacMUN XIII, with extremely limited exceptions (i.e. a medical emergency, illness, bereavement, etc.). Should any of these situations arise, please email the Secretariat explaining these circumstances. If the delegate is absent from any PacMUN XIII session unexcused, they will be barred from applying for PacMUN financial aid in the future, without exception. Missed sessions for financial aid recipients may be retroactively excused by emailing the Secretariat at pacmun.secretariat@gmail.com at your earliest convenience.

Payment of Delegate Fees and Committee Assignments

The Secretariat will not release PacMUN XIII committee/position assignments until payment in full has been received, or unless other arrangements are made on a case-by-case basis. Delegations should not expect to receive committee/position assignments until early September, even if they have paid their delegate fees before this. Delegates shall receive their position assignments in early September or after their delegate fees are paid in full, whichever occurs later.

Once the fees for any organization are paid in full, we will allocate your entire delegation and send the faculty adviser a spreadsheet containing these assignments. We request that you respond with the names of delegates in the respective cells next to their positions, for attendance and awards purposes.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

There will be no full refund given once a group submits payment for the conference. If needed, please email <pacmun.secretariat@gmail.com> before November 1st, 2024, with a refund request, to receive $10 back per delegate.

PacMUN further reserves the right to make modifications to committee/position assignments and to revoke specific assignments at the discretion of the secretariat if the delegation size is reduced.
