Position Paper Policy

Delegates in all committees (excluding all Ad Hoc committees) are expected to submit a position paper written from the perspective of the delegation or person of their given assignment as it relates to their committee. It should convey a clear understanding of the delegate’s policy (their person, or their country’s views and opinions) on the issues explained in the background guide and state their solutions and goals backed up with research. A position paper not only allows you to come into committee with ideas written but also gives the chair to peer into your ultimate goal for committee, and of course makes you eligible for a research award.
